NYC Reopening Update- December 3rd, 2020, NYC will reopen schools in early December after closing them in November due to rising cases of COVID-19. Some elementary schools and pre-K programs will resume classes on December 7. Staten Island must meet the state's criteria in order to reopen. The 7-day COVID positivity rate is now 3.9%.
