TalktoMira, Inc. (d/b/a Mira) ("Mira," "we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. If you have questions, contact us at support@talktomira.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through our website at talktomira.com, our mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of our Services immediately.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information You Provide
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register for an account, purchase a membership, request services, or contact us. This may include:
- Identity information: name, date of birth, gender
- Contact information: email address, phone number, mailing address
- Payment information: billing address, credit/debit card details (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
- Health information: medical history, symptoms, prescriptions, lab results, and other health data you provide when requesting care services
- Account credentials: email and password
- Communications: messages, support requests, and feedback you send through the platform
Information Collected Automatically
When you access our Services, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring URLs
- Location data: general geographic location based on IP address; precise location only if you grant permission
- Cookies and tracking technologies: we use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect usage data and improve our Services
Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party healthcare providers whose services you access through our platform, as well as from analytics providers and payment processors.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Providing services: processing your membership, facilitating care visits, connecting you with providers, processing payments, and delivering prescriptions and lab orders
- Account management: creating and maintaining your account, verifying your identity, and managing your subscription
- Communications: sending you service-related notices, responding to your inquiries, and (with your consent) sending marketing communications
- Safety and security: detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; enforcing our Terms of Service
- Legal compliance: complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes; responding to lawful requests from public authorities
- Service improvement: analyzing usage patterns, developing new features, and optimizing the performance of our Services
- AI and machine learning: as described in Section 5 below, using your data to enhance user experience and improve care delivery
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Healthcare providers: we share your health information with licensed providers (physicians, pharmacies, labs) as necessary to deliver the care services you request
- Service providers: we share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), data hosting, email delivery, customer support, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by Mira
- Legal requirements: we may disclose your information when required by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mira, our users, or the public
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity
- With your consent: we may share your information in other ways if you give us explicit consent
4. Health Information & HIPAA
Mira is a healthcare technology platform that facilitates access to care services. When you use our Services to request medical care, the health information you provide is treated as protected health information ("PHI") under applicable law. We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect your PHI.
We share PHI only with the healthcare providers directly involved in your care and with service providers who support the delivery of that care (e.g., pharmacies for prescription fulfillment, labs for test orders). All such parties are bound by confidentiality obligations.
By using our Services and opting to receive electronic communications, you acknowledge that Mira will transmit PHI electronically. While we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your information, no electronic system is completely secure. You may opt out of electronic communications at any time.
5. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Mira uses artificial intelligence and machine learning systems ("AI Systems") to enhance the quality of our Services. By using Mira, you consent to the following uses of your data by AI Systems:
- Personalizing your experience, including care recommendations, scheduling optimization, and relevant communications
- Improving care delivery quality, speed, and accuracy across the platform
- Developing new features, tools, and services
- Training and improving AI models using aggregated and de-identified data
Mira takes reasonable steps to de-identify data used for model training. AI-generated outputs used in clinical contexts are reviewed by licensed healthcare providers before being delivered to you. AI Systems supplement but do not replace the judgment of qualified medical professionals.
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us recognize your browser and capture certain information. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of our Services.
We use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors interact with our Services. These services may use cookies to collect information about your usage. We also use conversion tracking pixels from advertising platforms (such as Meta/Facebook) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no uniform standard for such signals has been adopted.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you Services. We may retain certain information as required by law, for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention and dispute resolution), or as necessary to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, regular security assessments, and employee training. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 10. Your Privacy Rights
All Users
Regardless of your location, you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendments:
- Right to know: you may request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
- Right to delete: you may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Right to opt out: we do not sell personal information. If our practices change, you will have the right to opt out
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
To submit a verifiable consumer request, email support@talktomira.com. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of authorization.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our Services at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of our Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
