I heard Tirzepatide is better. Is that true?

There is a great deal of marketing surrounding Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) recently. Tirzepatide is a dual-action agent which means it targets more organs. However, it also has higher side effects reported compared to Semaglutide and nearly 2x the drop out rate due to adverse events. On average, Tirzepatide is also 50% more expensive compared to Semaglutide for long-term use.

We don't think there is one better than the other but the question is how they fit within your journey. Some might start on Semaglutide and switch to Tirzpatide when reaching plateaus or vice versa.

Instead of focusing on marketing and pushing for the latest trends, Mira believes in a balanced approach to get our members the best possible outcome for their investment.

How about Oral Semaglutide?

Because Oral Semaglutide has much lower bioavailability (aka absorption rate) at only 0.8% vs. 89% for injection. You woud need to inject much more medications via oral route for it to be as effective as a weekly injection. While convenient, it costs many times more compared to injectable sSmaglutide.

Can I switch between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?

As a matter of fact, a study shows that one in four patients switches to another glucose-lowering agent after one year of treatment. Some individuals find success in starting with Semaglutide and later switching to Tirzepatide when side effects become intolerable. On the other hand, those who are currently on Tirzepatide also find great results by switching to Semaglutide due to the cost difference.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay monthly instead of all upfront?

Yes. We allow members to break down the program payments into smaller chunks with Affirm.

For Mira membership, the lowest cost option is $135 for three months.

Can I get Thrive without Mira membership?

Only Mira can access Thrive's exclusive pricing. Though even with Mira membership cost, the average monthly cost is still 20-30% lower than other providers.

Why is the pricing so much lower than others?

For two reasons, we don't markup excessively because our mission is to serve members.

Second, we ship medication in a larger quantity enough to cover 8-12 weeks at a time to save on shipping and handling fees and pass it onto you.

Other providers rely on monthly medication delivery so that patients have to keep coming back. We believe in savings members money.

Which pharmacies do you work with?

We work with PCAB certified and prestigious compound pharmacies in several states to deliver medications to you timely.

We frequently obtain the Certificate of Analysis from our pharmacy partner to make sure the quality of compounded medications are up to standard.

How long does it take to get approved and get the medication?

We try to get all cases approved earlier during the week so that there are ample time for shipping & delivery before Friday. This is because we want sure packages won't get delayed due to summer heat.

All medications are shipped in cold packages with Next or 2-day Air.

Most likely it will take 3-5 days end to end. However if you put in your request on Wednesday-Friday, it will be processed by the following week .

What happens if I get bad side effects?

Members are encouraged to check in with us if there is adverse side effects. Our providers can prescribe additional medications if appropriate or adjust our dosage accordingly.
