Screen yourself for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors
Get medical advice on how to decrease risks and manage symptoms at home
We will help you determine the best course of action or where to get tested if determined appropriate
"Not every one in the United States needs a test [..] When you go in and get tested, you consume personal protective equipment, masks and gowns. Those are high priority for the health workers who are taking care of people who have Coronavirus."
Mira created this COVID-19 care program to help New Yorkers to get professional healthcare in the comfort of home.
You still start with completing a short assessment. If identified as high-risk, you have an option to talk to a medical provider virtually to determine the best course of action.
The assessment is completely free for everybody.
The virtual consultation will cost between $30-$80, without insurance.
Testing is free for eligible New Yorkers, according to NY Department of Health.
For those who absolutely can't afford the consultation cost, we will be able to issue a discount with proof of income. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
As of March 25, the NYC Deparment of Health no longer recommends COVID-19 testing for the public:
"If you think you have COVID-19 and your illness is mild, you do not need to see your health care provider and you will not be tested.
Getting tested will not change what your provider will tell you to do to get better. They will tell you to stay home so you do not get others sick. Unless you are hospitalized and a diagnosis will impact your care, you will not be tested. Limiting testing protects health care workers and saves essential medical supplies, such as masks and gloves, that are in short supply."
If deteremined absolutely neccessary (if you are a healthcare or public safety worker), testing may be recommended by a provider.
According to NYC Department of Health, testing is free for all eligible New Yorkers, if recomended by a physician.
Yes. All of our affiliated providers (MD, DO, NP, PA) have medical professional degrees and are licensed to practice in their jurisdiction. All providers have at least 4 years of experience in family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or OB/GYN.
The NYC Deparment of Health DOES NOT recommend testing for the public unless you are an essential healthcare or public safety worker or currently hospitalized.
Our affiliated providers will help you determine the best course of action to help you decrease risks of further complications and manage your symptoms at home.
A virtual consultation is similar to a doctor visit in-person, except it is being done virtually via a video call. The provider is a fully licensed clinician who can give medical advice.
